Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Snap Streak mobile application (the "App") and the website at snap-streak.com (the "Website") handle information. In this policy, "Snap Streak", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the developer of the App. By using the App or the Website, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information the App accesses

The App is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not operate any servers that receive data from the App, and the App does not require you to create an account or sign in.

Photos and videos

With your permission, the App accesses your device's photo library so you can choose a photo or video to share. Only the item you select is opened. Any edits you make (such as cropping, rotating or mirroring a photo) are performed on your device. Edited copies are written to the App's temporary storage on your device and are never sent to us.

You can grant full, limited or no access to your photo library, and you can change this at any time in your device's Settings. The App does not access your camera, microphone, contacts or location.

Captions

If you add a caption, it is kept in the App's memory only while you are preparing your Snap and is passed to Snapchat together with your media when you share. We do not store or receive your captions.

App preferences

The App stores a single setting on your device that records whether you have completed the introductory screens, so they are not shown again. This setting contains no personal information and is deleted when you delete the App.

2. Sharing to Snapchat

When you tap the share button, the App uses Snap Inc.'s Creative Kit to open the Snapchat app with your selected photo or video, your caption (if any), the App's name and the App's Snap Kit client identifier. To do this, the App places this content on your device's system pasteboard for Snapchat to read; Snapchat clears it once it has been read, and in any case it is set to expire after five minutes.

Nothing is posted automatically. You review the content in Snapchat and decide whether and with whom to share it. Once content is in Snapchat, it is handled by Snap Inc. under its own terms and privacy policy, available at values.snap.com/privacy/privacy-policy. We do not receive any information from Snapchat, including your Snapchat username, friends list, or what you send.

If Snapchat is not available, the App may open your device's standard share sheet instead, in which case the app you choose receives the media under its own privacy practices.

3. Information we do not collect

The App does not collect or transmit to us:

• Your name, email address, phone number or any account details
• Your photos, videos or captions
• Your Snapchat account information, contacts or friends
• Precise or approximate location
• Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
• Usage analytics, crash analytics or diagnostics

The App contains no advertising, no third-party analytics SDKs and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

4. The Website

The Website is informational. It does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it does not ask you for any personal information. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard technical information in server logs when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time of the request. These logs are used only to keep the Website secure and running and are retained for a limited period before being deleted.

If you email us, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message, and we will use them only to respond to you.

5. How we use and share information

Because the App does not send us personal information, we have nothing to use, sell, rent or share with third parties for marketing or any other purpose. We may disclose the limited information described in section 4 if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, our services or others.

6. Data retention and deletion

All data handled by the App stays on your device. Temporary edited copies of your media are stored in the App's cache, which your device's operating system can clear at any time. Deleting the App removes all data it has stored on your device. Media you share to Snapchat is retained according to Snapchat's policies, and you can manage it within Snapchat.

7. Security

Because your content is processed locally and is not transmitted to us, the risk of your content being exposed through our systems is minimized. The Website is served over encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information we handle.

8. Children's privacy

The App is intended for users who are old enough to use Snapchat, which requires users to be at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information. Since the App does not collect personal information, there is generally no App data for us to provide or delete. You can still contact us at support@snap-streak.com with any request or question, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.

The App relies on the following third parties, each of which has its own privacy policy that governs its handling of your information:

Snap Streak is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Snap Inc. Snapchat is a trademark of Snap Inc.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide notice in the App or on the Website. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
